Lucy and Pondy where tied to the gate at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center overnight. They were both terrified when staff found them in the morning.
The description of this alone was enough to raise my anxiety levels but when I saw their videos which were carefully put together and shared by shelter volunteers and networkers, it brought me to tears.
Lucy & Pondy #A5561809, two beautiful white Pit Bulls with grey and black spots in the cutest of places made me call them my Moo-nicorns.
For weeks an amazing team of people (including Lisa Lindberg Arnold pictured with Kathy Vara from NBCLA) were trying to get them seen and saved without any luck. When I contacted NBC4 News and asked to get them featured in the hopes of reaching a bigger audience, they happily agreed.

And it worked! Someone saw Lucy on the news and she since has been adopted. NBC is planning on doing a follow up story once the adopters agree.
Pondy is unfortuantely running out of time and still in dire need of rescue.
